Welcome December- Tis the Season

First off all of us at In Grandma's Attic would like to thank you for coming by to shop and visit with us at our annual Open House in November. It is always fun to see and talk to the customers who have become our friends over the years.
New items continue to arrive daily as our busy craft persons and artist continue to create unique gifts and decorations.
On Christmas Eve Patti will continue this year, her complimentary brunch from 9 am. - 2 pm. Cooked by Patti herself, a gift to the last minute shoppers.
Merry Christmas!

Patti's Tomato Pie

Here is a family favorite from Patti's kitchen to yours;
 Tomato Pie

Patti's Tomato Pie
4-6 medium size Italian plum tomatoes
1 9' pie shell unbaked
1/2 cup chopped sauteed onions
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Basil
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
 Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Stir together mayonnaise and cheeses. Thinly cut eight tomato slices for topping and set aside. Dice remaining tomatoes, removing the seeds, then place tomatoes in the pie crust. Layer salt, basil, and the sauteed onions. Next spread out cheese mixture onto the onions, then place the reserved tomato slices on top. Bake 30-40 mins until golden brown. Let stand for 20 mins before serving.

New Product Spotlight

Now available in the shop.......Blue Quart Mason jars with a handmade Flower Frog Screw on Lid by RaggedyRee!
Great for summertime wildflowers these jar toppers make arranging easy and hold the flowers securely. Especially nice for tabletop centerpieces and wedding decor. Have jars of your own? You can buy the flower frogs by themselves without the jar.
Also new in the shop are solar jar lights. We have them for sale with the jar or without. These screw on lids are powered by sunlight that is stored in a battery. No need to turn on or off, it's automatic. What a great 'nightlight'. Super nice for camping.

Welcome Summer and a 'what is it question'

Look how pretty the zinnias are already.

Now here's an unusual piece that I picked up a few weeks ago. I know that it was some sort of lantern but I can't find any pictures or history on this piece. Have any of you readers seen any lanterns like this one?

Here a picture of a new wall arrangement that Carly brought in this week.
